Getting Started
How the platform works and what to expect.
What is this platform?
It is a business capital platform. In one account, a business can apply for funding, build its business credit, and pursue business credit card stacking.
The platform reviews the business's profile first, so you see the options it is positioned for before anything is submitted.
How does the funding process work, step by step?
- 1. Create your account and complete your business profile.
- 2. Authorize the credit report when prompted.
- 3. Choose a funding type and request amount. The platform shows only the funding types your profile currently fits.
- 4. Upload the requested documents. The checklist is built automatically for the funding type you selected.
- 5. File review. Our team reviews the file for completeness and fit.
- 6. Application. When the file clears review, you are notified by email and in your dashboard to complete the application.
- 7. Submission and response. The file is submitted to a funding source. Many respond within 24 to 48 hours, though timing varies by product.
Why can't I select some funding options?
The platform only lets you apply for options your current profile is positioned to qualify for. This protects you from unnecessary declines and credit inquiries.
Hover over or tap an unavailable option to see why. Common reasons are time in business, monthly revenue, or credit profile. That tells you exactly what to improve.
Do I have to fill out the application myself?
No. Your funding advisor can walk you through it and help enter information with you. You can also complete it on your own.
Either way, you must review the application, confirm it is accurate, and sign it yourself. You also personally authorize any credit report.
Is the platform a lender?
No. The platform prepares, reviews, and submits your file to funding sources. Approval decisions, rates, and terms are made by the funding source, not the platform.
How long does the whole process take?
It depends mostly on how quickly documents are uploaded. A complete file with clear documents moves fastest.
After submission, many funding sources respond the same day or within 24 to 48 hours. Some products, especially larger or collateral-based financing, take longer.
Business Funding
Funding types, qualification, approvals, and next steps.
What types of business funding are available?
Program categories include:
- Working capital and term loans
- Lines of credit
- Revenue-based financing
- Equipment and vehicle financing
- Business acquisition financing
- Commercial real estate, construction, and fix-and-flip financing
Which ones you see depends on your business profile.
What do funding sources look at?
The most common factors are:
- Time in business
- Monthly revenue and deposit consistency
- Existing debt and payment obligations
- Bank account health, such as average balance and overdrafts
- The owners' credit profile
- The business's credit profile
- The business is active and in good standing with its state
Real estate financing also looks at the property, project costs, experience, and exit plan.
Does applying affect my credit?
The platform reviews your profile before anything is submitted, so you avoid applying where you are unlikely to qualify.
Some funding sources perform a credit inquiry during their own review. Ask your funding advisor what to expect for the specific product before you submit.
My file was marked "approved to apply." Does that mean I'm funded?
No. "Approved to apply" means your file passed internal review and is ready for the formal application. The funding source makes the final decision.
The funding source may request additional documents. They may also contact you directly to verify your identity and application details before funding.
Why would a funding source ask for more documents after I submitted?
This is normal. The first submission is a short package. Once a funding source likes the file, it usually requests more items to finalize approval. Common examples are tax returns, financial statements, a debt schedule, or recent statements.
Fast responses keep the offer moving.
Can I get more funding later?
Yes. Your account stays open. As your revenue history grows and your business credit strengthens, new options become available.
Many businesses use their first funding to grow, then return with fresh bank statements for the next round.
Can a startup or a business that isn't formed yet get funding?
Funding options for startups are more limited. Most programs require time in business and revenue history.
A new business can start by setting up its business identity correctly and building business credit. That positions it for funding as it matures.
What if I'm declined?
A decline comes with reasons you can act on, such as revenue, time in business, recent overdrafts, or credit. The platform shows what needs to improve so you can re-apply when your profile supports it.
Business Credit Card Stacking
How sequenced business credit card applications work.
What is business credit card stacking?
It is a planned, sequenced approach to applying for several business credit cards within a short window. The goal is meaningful total credit limits for the business. It requires a FICO score of 700 or higher, preferably on all three bureaus.
The order and timing of applications matter. The platform builds the sequence around your profile.
What credit score do I need for credit card stacking?
A minimum 700 FICO score is required. Preferably, the score is 700 or higher with all three credit bureaus: Equifax, Experian, and TransUnion.
Card issuers pull from different bureaus. A score of 700+ across all three gives the sequence the most room to work.
Who is a good fit for credit card stacking?
Typically, an owner who meets these criteria:
- FICO score of 700 or higher, ideally on all three bureaus
- Low credit card balances
- Limited recent inquiries
- No recent late payments
It also suits a business that needs flexible working capital and may not yet meet loan requirements.
The platform evaluates fit before recommending a sequence.
How much credit can I expect?
Results depend entirely on your credit profile, income, and existing obligations. No specific amount is guaranteed.
Your advisor can review your profile and give you a realistic range before you begin.
Will this affect my personal credit?
Card applications usually involve credit inquiries, and some business cards may report to personal credit. This is why the sequence is planned in advance.
Responsible use and on-time payments are essential. Your advisor will explain the impact for your situation before you apply.
Which cards will I apply for?
The platform shows only the cards your profile is positioned to qualify for, in the recommended order. Your sequence is personalized, so it differs from business to business.
How long does credit card stacking take?
Many sequences complete within days to a few weeks. Profiles that need preparation first can take longer.
Are there fees for credit card stacking?
Any fees are set and disclosed by your funding advisor before you engage. Ask for the fee structure in writing before you begin.
Documents
What to upload, and how to make sure it is accepted the first time.
What documents are typically needed for the first submission?
For most working capital and revenue-based programs, the first submission includes:
- Business bank statements: the most recent 3 months. Businesses in California are typically asked for 4 months.
- EIN confirmation letter from the IRS
- Voided business check or a bank letter showing the account and routing number
- Driver's license for each owner, front and back
- Signed application
Your checklist in the platform is the source of truth. It is generated automatically for the funding type you select.
What other documents might be requested?
Depending on the program and amount, you may be asked for:
- Business and personal tax returns
- Year-to-date profit and loss statement and balance sheet
- Debt schedule
- Articles of organization or incorporation, and the operating agreement or bylaws
- Personal financial statement
- Accounts receivable aging
- Merchant processing statements
- Equipment or vehicle invoice
- Purchase contract or property financials for acquisition and real estate
- Business plan for some startup programs
Why do California businesses need 4 months of bank statements?
Many funding sources ask California businesses for an additional month of statements as part of their standard review. Your checklist reflects what is required for your file.
Which owners need to provide a driver's license?
Typically every owner with 20% or more ownership. Upload a clear, unexpired copy of the front and back.
What makes a document get rejected?
- Screenshots or partial pages instead of complete statements
- Statements that are not the most recent months
- Missing pages
- Blurry or cropped images
- An expired ID
- A business name that doesn't match the business on the application
Download complete PDF statements directly from your bank to avoid delays.
Where do I upload documents, and how do I know they were received?
Go to the Documents section of your dashboard. Each requested item shows its own upload button and status: Requested, Submitted, Under Review, Accepted, or Re-upload Requested.
If an item needs to be replaced, you'll see the request and the reason in your dashboard.
Can my advisor upload documents for me?
Yes. Your advisor can upload documents to your file on your behalf. Every upload is recorded in the file history.
I can't find my EIN letter. What do I do?
If you've lost your original EIN confirmation, you can request a replacement verification letter from the IRS Business & Specialty Tax Line. Tell your advisor; they can note it on your file while you wait.
Business Credit
Building a business credit profile separate from your personal credit.
What is business credit, and why does it matter?
Business credit is a credit history tied to your business's EIN, not your Social Security number. It is reported to business credit bureaus such as Dun & Bradstreet (PAYDEX).
A strong business profile lets funding sources weigh the business itself. This reduces reliance on your personal credit and opens larger and better options over time.
How does the Business Credit Builder work?
The Business Credit Builder guides your business through a staged process:
- Verify your business identity
- Establish reporting accounts with vendors that report to business bureaus
- Advance through tiers as your profile strengthens
Progress is tracked in your dashboard.
How long does it take to build business credit?
It depends on your starting point and how consistently accounts are opened and paid. Building is progressive. Each tier unlocks the next.
Does business credit replace my personal credit?
Not entirely. Many funding sources still review the owner's personal credit, especially for newer businesses. As your business profile matures, it carries more weight in decisions.
Business Setup & Good Standing
The foundations funding sources verify before they review anything else.
Does my business need to be in good standing with the state?
Yes. Funding sources check the Secretary of State to confirm the business is active. A business that is suspended, forfeited, or delinquent must be brought back into good standing before funding.
How do I keep my business in good standing?
File your annual or biennial report and pay state fees by your state's deadline. Keep your registered agent current.
California LLCs and corporations also owe an annual minimum franchise tax, generally $800, paid to the Franchise Tax Board. California also requires a periodic Statement of Information. Other states' annual fees vary.
Why does my business name and address have to match everywhere?
Funding sources and card issuers verify the business identity across several records. Mismatches trigger automatic declines.
Your legal name should match exactly, down to punctuation and "LLC" vs. "L.L.C.", across:
- IRS (EIN)
- Secretary of State
- Your bank
- Dun & Bradstreet
- Directory listings
Your address and phone number should match across them too.
What else makes a business look "fundable"?
- A business bank account in the business's legal name
- A professional email at your business domain
- A website with your business address, phone, privacy policy, and terms
- A business phone number listed in national directories
- A Dun & Bradstreet listing that matches your records
The platform checks these and flags anything missing.
Account & Support
Logins, privacy, and getting help.
I can't log in. What should I do?
Use "Forgot password" on the login page to reset it. If you still can't get in, contact your advisor or support with the email address on your account.
Who can see my information?
Access to your file is limited to you, your assigned advisor, and authorized review staff, based on role permissions. Information is shared with a funding source only when your file is submitted for financing you requested.
Why did I get a call or email from a funding source?
Before funding, funding sources often contact the business owner directly. They verify identity and confirm application details. This is a normal step.
If you are unsure whether a contact is legitimate, check with your advisor before sharing information.
Are approvals or amounts guaranteed?
No. All funding and credit decisions, amounts, rates, and terms are made by the funding source or card issuer based on its own review.
How do I get help?
Contact your assigned funding advisor first. They know your file. You can also message support from inside your dashboard.
No questions match your search. Try a different word, or contact your funding advisor.
